What's new in October
Live badges on events racing today, kudos for a sailor's result, story cards for your best placings, and a stack of new tools for event photographers.
Welcome to Mainsheet Updates — the place we'll announce new features and news. Here's what shipped in October.
For sailors
- Live badge. Events racing today now carry a Live badge on the events page, so you can find the regatta that's on the water right now.
- Kudos. Give a 👏 to a sailor's result at an event. They'll get an email — one per burst, not one per clap.
- Story cards. Share a placing from your timeline as an Instagram story card, with the photographer credited.
- Follower emails. You'll get an email when someone follows your profile.
For clubs and organisers
- Event visibility. An event can be a draft, unlisted, members only or public — you choose who sees it, and when.
- Contributors. Invite photographers and helpers to an event by email. Their photos are credited to them on the event page and in the lightbox.
For photographers
- Watermarks with a default on your setup page and a per-event override.
- Free coupon codes to give photos away — to the sailors you shot, or a club's prize winners.
- Download every photo of a boat from its stack in one go, with graduated prices for bulk orders.
- Sales history listing every download you've sold.
